Susan Sigward, PT, ATC, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California.Learn More Sigward is a graduate of Saint Louis University. For the past 20 years, her work has centered on understanding lower extremity biomechanics as they pertain to risk for injury and recovery following ACL reconstruction. Her current research challenges our clinical expectations of recovery during early rehabilitation following surgery and seeks to develop strategies to optimize early interventions. Motivated by the rapid advances in consumer technology and data science, Sigward works to translate research tools and approaches to applied settings for assessment and interpretation movement with respect to recovery from injury, injury risk and optimal performance.
